The main character in any otome game is called the heroine or MC and sometimes they already have a name, but usually you can always change it to whatever you like. In any case, in this story, the MC has come to Tokyo from Kyushu because she hasn't had any luck finding a job since she graduated from college. She goes to find her uncle who owns a big IT company, hoping that he'll help her find a job.
You call your uncle after you arrive in Tokyo and he asks you to pick up a few things before meeting him. Unfortunately this MC has no idea what the hell fenugreek and cardamom is (come on, I actually know what that is T_T) and she accidentally bumps into this guy who ends up helping her.
Excuse me, I know the difference it's just that the MC doesn't >:(
After buying the ingredients, the MC goes over to the address her uncle gave her and it turns out to be the bar he runs.
Haha that's kind of slack MC. Anyway that's "uncle" Kunihiko (or Kuni for short) who isn't really your uncle but is just some distant relative (kind of how like how in Chinese you call any unrelated woman "aunty" and "uncle" for a man). Here, we meet the other main characters who turn out to be Kuni's good friends and they all play baseball together on some weekends or something.
First up is the guy you met just outside Kuni's bar, his name is Yuta and he's one half of a comedian duo named Fukumimi.
Then Kuni's other friends come in, Takao who's a lawyer and the one on the right is Saeki who's a scriptwriter. You know, I don't know why the MC is always calling him Saeki cause that's his last name and she calls everyone else by their first names...
After their introductions in comes mister meanie who you met earlier at the supermarket (jokes he's not that mean) and when Kuni asks why he's late he says he had to "help a weird girl at the market" (ie. you). Wow Yamato why so mean. And Ren comes in last, he's really quiet and basically all he says in the prologue is "yeah." o_o Totally a kuudere and he's a researcher.
So basically Kuni just introduces you to each of them and unfortunately the MC is clueless and thinks that she's doing a job interview already and it's one of those things where it's no surprise what's going to happen next thanks to the spoiler of a game title orz. So thanks to the game's title you're kind of just sitting there going "MC it's so obvious where this is heading!"
In any case, I've probably written too much and that's basically all that happens in the prologue. I'll leave you with one of Saeki's numerous lolsy uncalled-for comments (this is during the part where the characters huddle and talk about what they think of the MC).
Well excuuuuse me Saeki that's just you o_o
