Before I get started I have to say why why WHY don't I get to spend my last day before placement in peace? I just wanted to do my packing and say goodbye to the internet T_T BUT NO as usual today of all days, we have to go out to a relative's house for dinner (it's okay but I want to be at home) and someone is coming over because they need me to buy something for them on the internet. Doesn't sound too bad except it's for their son who is unusually picky about the product they want and drags the simple process into at least 2 hours no joke SIGH Okay now back to what I actually wanted to write about. You know, my sister is freaking hilarious. Right on the week before school, she needs me to buy her a bag and shoes online (I'm in charge of paypal related things). Only problem was that the bank account we use for paypal only had $13 in it which wasn't enough so I had to transfer money in. Except for some reason it didn't process instantaneously so I told her to wait until the next day. Next day comes around and money still isn't in which was weird so I thought we'd wait another day since usually it can take a couple of days. Day after that, it's still not there so we just transfer it again and then we can buy the stuff. Note that during this whole ordeal everyday she's being rude and demanding like "is it in YET??" And so after all that, school finally rolls around aaaaaaaand the stuff still isn't here. And so beginning from the day before school starts, I get to listen to this coming for her at least 3 times a day "well is my stuff here yet?!?!" It's a pity I can't portray the tone but it pisses me off because it's not even a question, she just says it in a way that's meant to alert you to the fact that it is NOT here and that it's somehow my fault. And you know what? I don't even care. Your anger direct towards me is freaking hilarious because you think it's my fault you didn't get your items because of the delayed transaction when YOU'RE the one who decided to buy it just a week before school. Sure, most people can get their items within a week but you're still supposed to do things earlier NOT the week before school. And secondly not ONCE did you touch any of your books and study this whole holidays which is just stupid because you had all the time in the world to catch up/ get ahead. Even though I wasn't the best student I'm sure I didn't go the whole summer holidays doing nothing. So after 3 days of her non-stop annoying "well is my stuff here yet?!?!" I cracked it and I'm just like "how dare you blame me when you're the one who ordered it late, do nothing in the holidays and on top of that you care about these material things but not your study" or at least something along those lines. Also you should note she has at least 5 bags already that are usable for schoolbooks. Ugh whatever at least the stuff arrived yesterday afternoon so I don't have to listen to that crap anymore. Thankfully dad and I always have similar views and he was pretty pissed she did no study the whole holidays and that she tried to blame me for not receiving her items on time. Also yesterday my dad and I went out to the asian grocery nearby to get some chicken and since it only has a small parking lot, there's always a lot of cars just waiting for someone to leave so they can take that spot. In any case we were second in line, waiting to order after the lady in front of us and then this other lady comes out of no where and cuts in front of us?? I'm pretty sure she had the full intention of ordering after that lady in front of us (ie. before us) but just as the first customer was about to receive her order the lady who tried to cut suddenly goes "ah!" and runs out the door o_o And as I watched her, she ran to her car which was parked right in the MIDDLE of the car park (as in, not in a legit spot but blocking the way for cars to actually enter/exit the car park). What on earth?? I think she ran back because a car left and she took up a real spot and then came back but luckily by then dad ordered already. But afterwards when we left I saw another car parked in the middle of the car park with no one inside. What the hell? You're not allowed to physically get out of your car and leave it like that in a non-legit spot don't people know that x_x And when I laughed at that and told dad he's like "I don't even care that she left her car like that but she's not allowed to push in like that without even saying anything." And he was like if she had actually proceeded to order he would have told her off and I was like o.O Maybe I'm a pushover when it comes to these things because I always figured it was too much of a hassle to bother telling the person off so I was surprised at dad's reaction since normally he's quite easygoing. In the end, he's just like "ugh this is the problem with chinese people they just think doing these things is okay" and once again I laugh because it sounds funny coming from someone chinese. 0 comment[s] | back to topbummer

Finished dub and sub of digimon adventure and digimon adventure 02 (season 2) so now I have nothing to watch unless I decide to go on to watch digimon tamers I guess. Was looking forward to new naruto tomorrow only to remember that they're on break T_T I mean look at how they ended it last week, you can't do this!!! It might just look like your typical "everyone thinks they're dead/dying but they're just unconscious but let's freak out early" scenario but (spoiler) Sasuke was just stabbed fatally in the heart with a sword and Naruto had the kyuubi extracted out of him which results in death. Basically in the Naruto world, this time they really are on the verge of death D; Can't believe it's the end of January already. This means that one, holidays are almost over (cries) and two, summer is almost over too (cries again). I love summer so much and now there's only a month left :( When I think back to last year, it feels like 90% of the year was cold. It's weird to think that if we were still in high school, we'd be starting school tomorrow. Instead, as soon as February starts I won't be going back to "school", I'll be doing a 10 day placement in Canberra. For some reason I'm totally not looking forward to it now. Don't get me wrong, farm is fun but I guess it's cause I'm not at "home" and also because Canberra's a hole == Ugh my driving was atrocious today. Today I so nearly experienced my first crash though it wasn't my fault. I was driving like normal in the shopping centre car park and this car just suddenly starts BACKING REALLY CLOSE TOWARDS ME. I get that sometimes you make mistakes but I was pretty much in shock and it was like slow motion watching it until my dad beeped at them for me and I swear the horn was on for a good FIVE SECONDS at least which might not seem like much but imagine the distance you can back out in five seconds. In fact the driver was still reversing while the horn was sounding oh my god. Thankfully they stopped a mere 2cm or so before they hit us @_@ And then dad was like "if you saw them coming at you why didn't you beep???" I was seriously frozen and had no reaction whatsoever and all I could do was watch T_T And then after driving no more than 3 metres after that incident, this car from no where turns onto my "road" (it's not really a road in the shopping centre car park) in front of me when he shouldn't have and narrowly misses our car. Basically the whole choose a reasonable gap, turning has less priority over people going straight sort of thing. Yeah that person did none of that and I swear we could have had a minor crash. Then dad was like "you could have beeped at them for that" but I just decided to let it pass because I didn't want to come off as angry but ugh still that was stupid on their behalf. Dad's like "they probably just turned without even checking hmph." And then he made a remark along the lines of "what, are there more drivers from China now??" LOL dad you kind of insulted yourself there. 0 comment[s] | back to topwritten on Sunday, January 26, 2014 @ 11:49 PM ✈
Eww in a few minutes I'll be turning 19 which is the ugliest looking number ever. These days I really don't look forward to my birthday D: I don't feel like doing anything, I just want it to be a normal day and do absolutely nothing. Next year it's going to be even worse though because I'll be turning 20 and that just seems like the epitome of old T_T 0 comment[s] | back to topwritten on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 @ 10:15 PM ✈
To watch the dub or to watch it with subs? Now THAT is the age old question. Hehe since I got bored I'm watching old anime that we used to watch on TV as kids. I guess for nostalgic value I watched the first season dubbed but the seasons afterwards I watched with subs. There's quite a lot of difference between the two, I found out that when they did the dubs they cut out scenes that were too "violent" and stuff O_O Also now that I've learnt some Japanese I find some parts of the dub ridiculous like when the character goes "oh my god, I've been craving a chocolate covered riceball for a long time!" even though the riceball clearly has a label that says "tuna mayo" in Japanese on it. Also chocolate covered riceball really that's just gross.
By the way, if you wanted to know I was rewatching Digimon again HAHA (*^ワ^*) This is the only time I'll watch something in dub though, only because I got used to their voices as a kid and hearing their Japanese voices is a little strange. But I did watch the sub briefly as well and I never knew Tentomon spoke in Kansai dialect?! Kero in Cardcaptors speaks it too, if you listen to it it's quite entertaining!

I honestly feel really sick right now and I think it's going to be another rough night sigh. Made a very big mistake today and somehow I don't think it's going to be fixable so I have no idea what I'm going to do. It was such a silly, stupid mistake and I feel like the biggest fool ever. I feel so sick I just want to puke. And thanks to the stress I've even scratched up a long gone eczema patch making it flare up again so that'll take a good few weeks to get rid of ugh. Why why why am I so stupid. Don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight and even if I do, I know it's going to be a rough night where I'll either wake up every half hour or just have strange fragmented dreams that won't let me sleep properly. This happens every time sigh. 0 comment[s] | back to topwritten on Monday, January 13, 2014 @ 11:18 PM ✈
Whoops haven't posted in a while. Anddddd that time has come around again. The part of the holidays where I don't do much and it feels kind of lonely. But I won't take this time for granted because I know once uni starts I'll be swamped and I can say goodbye to life. Since I was out the whole of yesterday and came back around dinnertime I had no idea that our internet had died for the day. Our family is really hilarious whenever the internet cuts out, you should really come see. Everyone in our family uses the internet so much so when it's not working everyone seems extremely lost LOL. Like my sister and dad were frantically trying to fix it (to no avail) and mum's like "meh" and I'm just sitting on the couch laughing to myself at how silly we look. A few years back it would be me that would be the most annoyed by the internet cutting out but I think that role is now my sister's. Man I think she's the one who's obsessed the most. Well today it is back so here I am on the computer again. Since I felt like revisting one of my old favourites, I've picked up reading "Fruits Basket" again. I think it has the perfect amount of fluff and sadness at the appropriate times so I think you can read it over and over without getting sick of it ^^ 0 comment[s] | back to toplate night feels and ironic hunger

It's fast approaching midnight now and since about 10pm I've found myself scrolling through my old camera pics on my computer. So many memories from so many different times, going through them is bittersweet. I found some pictures from our time at baulko (mainly year 12) with things like Bitter's birthday, last week of year 12, camp, schoolies, outings etc. It's sad that we can't go back (duh) but I'll cherish those memories. I also found pictures of things that I've cooked and I'm seriously just like "wow" and in awe of how much I use to make. It didn't always turn out right but I'm glad I put in the time and effort to try. It's been a long time since I've actually made those sorts of things due to uni (it's a lot busier with uni than you'd expect). Also my skill level has dropped dramatically and depressingly. These days I fail even simple recipes or things that I used to make with ease. No idea what to do.
And then this whole morning and afternoon, in between gaming, I spent it looking at all these recipes for japanese desserts. And drooling. Mentally though, not physically. It's ridiculous, when I was in japan I sadly had no appetite (not the food's fault, something weird with me) and now when I'm back I'm craving everything japanese. Body, you're an idiot okay. So much want for all these desserts right now (╥﹏╥) Sadly since I haven't "cooked" in a while (what I do is too sucky to be called cooking for real) I'm low on flour, have only one kind of sugar and practically no japanese ingredients. I have dashi, udon and that's about it :/ Which isn't really good enough to make desserts.
Fortunately the one thing we DO have is red beans so due to the sudden craving, I begged mum to make me red bean soup which she did ^^ Unfortunately we didn't have any toasted mochi to make zenzai :(
0 comment[s] | back to topNew Year.......... and new phone
written on Friday, January 3, 2014 @ 10:54 PM ✈
New Year's Eve was fun since we got to wait for the fireworks! And then there was that 5-10 minute period where it started raining and everyone was probably thinking "how long is this going to go for? Are the fireworks going to be cancelled?" But all was well in the end. Oh and the toilet lines were scarily long. Ick. And when I was walking I stumbled across the girra group waiting for the fireworks and found Kebly! Well actually she called out to me xD On New Year's Eve, I actually got to the city at about 11. And for those of you who have talked to me recently, you know I was pretty depressed about my dying phone (especially since I've had it for less than a year). Well guess what happened that day? My phone became even more sick, and where you normally have your reception and carrier show up, it just said "searching..." Normally that comes up if you just start up your phone or maybe if your reception is bad or something but after a few seconds it should return to normal. Well guess what? It didn't. Sigh and then I had to make a spontaneous trip to the dreaded and annoying apple store. They did the usual "did you restart" and blah blah blah and of course I had done all that and then they tried to blame it on my carrier being down or something == They sent me to a mobile retailer to try swapping sims and stuff. Well that didn't work since the mobile place told me it wasn't the sim's problem (so it's bloody Apple's problem) so off I go back to the apple store. Someone else looks at it, tries telling me to restart and stuff when that's obviously not the problem since I did it 3 times since I noticed the problem with my phone ever since I got off the train T_T Even worse is that they can't fix it and tell me to book an appointment with the bar for them to look at it. This is bad because my phone dying was an unforeseen event so I had no idea I'd have to go to the genius bar and thus didn't make a booking. So hurray for a 2 hour wait for "the next available time slot". Oh well it could have been a lot worse. Before I got up to the bar, the lady who was checking my appointment on her ipad or whatever looked over my phone to see if she could fix it (when did this ever happen, usually they just send me straight to the bar?). And she kept staring into the earphone jack -- > this is how they check for water damage as there is something in there that changes colour if your phone is exposed to "too much" water. And I'm like "excuse me it's not water damaged x_x" well in my head at least. Once again for the third time in the day, they tried to blame it on me not having iOS 7 (screw you) and that my carrier was down. HAH. And then at last we went to the bar and I told the guy my problem, and complained about my battery while I was at it. Once again, they told me the battery was normal == He looked into some stuff, saw that the "searching..." thing wasn't going away and decided to restore it. Of course they have to ask if I backed up everything already and I lied and said yes.... Because if I didn't they can't do anything but truthfully I don't back up everyday, my last time was about 2 weeks ago but since then I only took a few photos so nothing too important would be erased. But still, goodbye forever those photos T_T And as the genius bar dude clicked "restore" he informed me that my phone will also be updated to the new iOS during the process, and my heart sank to the depths of hell but there was nothing I could do as there was no cancel button. And then... my phone did something amazing. It refused to restore and gave an error code. The guy looks at the screen and goes "huh, that's weird" and starts scrolling through his diagnostic device thing and for a second I was worried that it wouldn't restore because I had ahem *altered* some of my apps but it seemed like he didn't notice. Instead, he goes "well since it can't restore I guess I'll give you a new phone." AT LAST \(≧∇≦)/ Hitting two problems (searching + battery) with one phone. And since then, my battery once again drains a neat 8% while connected to wifi while I sleep (instead of freaking 60%+) and my carrier is now once again showing so I can make calls. If they didn't fix my searching problem then my phone would have seriously been useless seeing as I can't call or text anyone. It was funny because after setting up my new phone it still said "searching..." and the guy was like "I guess you want to call your carrier then since it's still not fixed" and just as I was about to respond it popped up xD LOL owned.
And now for the serious part. My old phone, you were much more than a phone to me, you were my notepad, my gaming device, my camera, my computer. I'm sorry that we only had less than a year together and watching you die (your battery) was the saddest thing ever :'( And it was like cancer, seeing as it spread to your ability to connect to a carrier. But in the end you understood my hatred for iOS 7, and chose to die by failing to restore when you heard the guy say that it would update your iOS. It is because of you that I got to meet my new phone. Thank you and I'll never forget you (╥﹏╥) I hope my new phone can be as loyal as you. It's off to a good start though, as it has iOS 6 like you!!
RIP forever. By the way I know apple is going to repair you and give you to someone else, I hope you will be loyal to your new owner like you were for me.
