holiday summary 2/?
written on Monday, February 4, 2013 @ 3:10 PM ✈

January 5th was the day the giant duck came and Shirley was very keen to see it so a bunch of us tagged along to go see it with her. That day also happened to be the day of amazing race so we did meet some people along the way. I find it funny that quite a lot of people ended up giving up/ quitting the amazing race.

So anyway we came across this:

and I don't know if you can see the duck on top of the train but when Arjuna saw it he thought that that was the "giant duck" we came to see and he said "is that all?!" or something like that haha xD

Unfortunately after that someone was hungry and dragged us to go get food so we missed seeing how the duck was brought into the harbour (I assume maybe the bridge went up?). Yeah Shirley's mad for missing that D;

I wasn't too hungry but yay! Okonomiyaki and takoyaki! So afterwards we just went back to see the duck. We also got those bubble blowers and that weird duck beak whistle thing. We missed out on the free rubber duckies thanks to the detour :(

Unfortunately the "giant rubber duck" doesn't look that big in the photos o.O Since it was a really hot day, Shirley and I were going to go get ice-cream but then we got too lazy and just had meetfresh instead xD Oh and on a side note that day everyone in our little "group" was coincidentally wearing light blue and white... well except for Jordon xD

On the 16th Jordon, Annabel and I crashed Shirley's house and we really didn't do much except use her internet to do whatever xD Even though Shirley told us to bring food she made us sooo much for lunch. Since we ate too many snacks lunch was even more filling. Here's a crappy picture from my phone:

I've never made yakiudon myself because I prefer making it with the soup (I think that way's quicker) but Shirley's yakiudon is so delicious. We also had fun making smoothies from those weird smoothie cubes for the first time. For some reason they really make the milk all frothy and the flavour is too weak, I think I taste the milk more than the "tropical" flavour o_o

Also why are they called smoothie cubes when they aren't really cube shaped?
