So on January the 25th we went out to Campsie for dinner with some family friends. Unfortunately we had to leave the house at around 5 and my sister and I were only 15 minutes or so into the new suits episode so we were like "noooo we don't want to go" and then mum said "fine stay at home and eat instant noodles then." The thing is our fridge was completely empty and we didn't even have any instant noodles left (by the way she was only kidding). In the end we just resorted to bringing the laptop and watching the rest in the car xD It gave us both a big headache afterwards but it was worth it (y)
There was so much food and it was all really good. There was this dish which had a fork and spoon on the side which you were supposed to use to put some into your own bowl (rather than using your chopsticks) and I didn't notice so my mum told me off and to use those next time. But then after a minute I saw my mum use chopsticks to grab food (instead of the spoon and fork) so I just let it slide but then she did it again and I have no choice but to look at her like this:
And yay dessert was red bean soup. I love that stuff. We also got to have yogurberry for dessert :D The day before we went out, I just happened to check out the fb page for yogurberry and I found out they were having a 50% off grand opening at Campsie and I thought "well if we're having dinner there we could always make a quick trip to yogurberry afterwards" and lucky us because the restaurant was only a street away from yogurberry.
Unfortunately it was quite disappointing since they hardly had any flavours I liked. And worst of all no passionfruit. That's just sad, really sad. How can you not have the best flavour in the world? Everywhere else has it. I am disappoint. The wall here shows the flavours strawberry, mango, blueberry, passionfruit, green apple and banana and out of all that they only had mango and blueberry. The machines had (if recall correctly) plain, chocolate, taro, blueberry, mango and something else I don't remember. I didn't get chocolate or taro because those are blehhh. And dude, if you were really asian you would probably be devastated that they didn't have green tea (which I'm pretty sure everywhere else has it). Luckily I'm not into green tea flavoured stuff (I like green tea though) but it's just something I noticed.

I think my one is the one on the right? The left one is my sister's. You know what sucks about yogurberry though? The fact that all their flavours are really pastel coloured so when you get a few flavours in a cup, you can't even distinguish them anymore. For example, if in my mix I had peach and plain, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The colours are too similar and sometimes the taste is quite subtle when it's all mixed together or when you have more than one flavour on your spoon. Ahh I can't explain properly you'll just have to experience it for yourself.
So then on the 27th it was my birthday and I didn't do much during the day except bum around in the city. And WOW why did it rain so much on my birthday I was so sad. I mean come on, I'd like a nice hot summer-y day for my birthday but no after a nice week of sunshine you decide to rain on my birthday :( Why do you do this to me. I have no idea who I'm directing that at.
I have no idea how we managed to walk through the rain for so long but it was a fun adventure. Oh and then I was talking about Jason Chen and then all of sudden POOF and he happens to be walking two metres in front of us o_o Biggest coincidence ever. We ran up to him and said hi and I think it's been like maybe one and a half years since I've seen him? Shortly after he left someone tripped on the wet ground. Too bad Jason missed that because I'm sure he would've laughed really hard at that sight.
Went home, went out to eat and came back and dad, sister and I played with sparklers :D That was fun. And then cake time! Though we were already really full.
It was really delicious, I liked the bits of strawberry jam inside (or at least that's what I think it is). And this year I managed to blow out all the candles in one go! Hopefully my wish comes true.
Argh fear of holes!!!
