llftx Riki's route 1/8

Yay my new phone case finally arrived today and my dad's first reaction is "oh my god it's not pink?" Haha sorry dad but I bought two and the other one is pink ( ≖‿≖) I'm using the blue one for now for... well no particular reason lol. Also my mum was all like "what the hell why did you get ridiculous bunny ears on your case it's not even going to fit anywhere" or something like that. Umm mum, how can it be a bunny case if it doesn't have big ears? And secondly, mum, if you didn't already realise the iphone 5 itself is ridiculous and was never ever going to fit into my pocket (I've tried sigh). I miss my old samsung which would fit snuggly into my pocket :( In any case mum what do you mean it's not going to fit? Obviously it won't fit in my pocket but obviously it's going to fit into my bag o_o I mean how small do you think my bags are o_o
^ Oh yeah sorry I wrote that part like 3 days ago so really I got my case back then not today... The rest is written over a few days because I was too tired or didn't have enough time to do it faster sorry :/
Alright enough blab summary time. When I first started llftx, Riki's route was the most recent one that came out (he was the forth character, boss and Tatsuro had yet to come out) and pretty much all over tumblr people were raving about it and being all like "omg so excited to play." So along with Takuto, it's pretty safe to say those two are the most popular in this game. Anyway unfortunately back when I played the prologue I didn't appreciate Takuto's constant mean comments (I regret that now) so I was like ehhh *shrug* let's play Riki's route.
Also I think one of the few reasons everyone was excited for Riki's route is because of one of his cg's which has seriously earned him the title of "mister sexy gloves" amongst the tumblr community:
Alright so there are 16 chapters for every character's route in llftx so hopefully I can do 4 per post.
Chapter 1
The MC chooses Riki as her babysitter and he takes her to the upstairs of Le Renard Noir telling her she now has to stay at the bar. There's two rooms, one with bunk beds where Takuto, Kenshi and Hiro occasionally sleep and another room with only one bed which is Riki's room. The MC is all "whyyyy can't I go home, I won't tell on you so let me go" but Riki says he doesn't trust the MC so he'll continue holding her hostage x_x
When MC is talking with the black foxes and doing her typical "how can you call yourselves noble thieves, stealing is a crime" they tell her that the painting they stole from the museum where she works at was actually gotten through a "backroom deal with the mafia" and wow I can't believe the museum the MC works at is dodgy? Though maybe it was just that one painting I don't know :/ And the black foxes do the "hey we just return works of art to their rightful places" speech and I should really come up with a shorter way to say this whole MC and black foxes argument about crime and blah because it happens in every route x_x
So it's night time and MC has to sleep in Riki's room and gets flustered (typical) because she's thinking about how there's only one bed and that it's weird to be sleeping in the same bed as someone you just met o_o Unfortunately there's no funny thing about who gets the bed like in Yamato's route because Riki just says "you have the bed, I'll crash on the sofa."
The next morning Riki has to leave early for work (I think) and so MC goes downstairs for breakfast and discovers that he made miso for everyone and he feels weird if he doesn't have it everyday. I hope I already mentioned this in the character intros though I can't remember right now but Takuto always always chokes on stuff and he even chokes on miso o_o In this route, MC always hits Takuto extremely hard on the back when he's choking.
Haha I love Takuto's choking face. So Takuto gets annoyed and asks why it was necessary to hit him so hard and MC says she thought he was choking on the tofu (in the miso) and here's his response:
Excuse me Takuto, there was only tofu and seaweed in the miso that Riki made you guys that day. If you didn't choke on tofu, are you saying you choked on the miso itself? How is that any better than choking on tofu o.O After that Kenshi chats with MC about how they have day jobs and MC is surprised (wrote this somewhere before). Kenshi describes Takuto as a programmer and a genius hacker, Hiro's an art student with a really sharp eye and Riki is the government official who always came top of his class and he graduated from Cambridge(?). Then Kenshi says:
See that's the MC's surprise at how they have jobs. Also Kenshi I don't think firefighters should be so proud of something like that o_o Anyway at the end MC catches a cold, I'm not sure if Riki picks up on it in this chapter or the next.
Chapter 2
Throughout this whole route (except near the end) Riki always calls MC a prude because she gets flustered too easily when silly playboy Riki says or does "retarded" things (I guess the better word would be suggestive). Riki takes the MC out to dinner and of course it's a fancy restaurant for mister high roller Riki and he says he takes many women to that restaurant for a date > > Just so you know by now I was already like why did I play this route I don't like this guy and I don't care if everyone else likes him (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Wait now that I think about it, on his profile it doesn't warn people that he's a playboy so I guess you wouldn't know until you start playing and by then it's too late T_T
Anyway the MC asks Riki if he oftens goes out on dates with women he doesn't love and of course his answer is yes. MC obviously disapproves of that. Anyway MC is just a normal person and doesn't understand the menu cause it's too fancy of a restaurant. The MC then gets a nice comment from ore-sama Riki:
No I don't need your help >:( Sigh this is the part I hate about the game, how the MC is always "lesser" than the other characters. Well that's how I feel. By that I mean they always make her feel less smart and they always tease her about being poor - like after this Riki says there's no way you can pay for your half of the meal cause you're just a curator. There's also more which you will see later x_x
Anyway Riki orders hot wine for MC's cold and she realises that even though he's quite mean, he really does look after people. After dinner they go to the bar and Riki talks about how MC's gramps donated some of his paintings to museums and gave others to valued patrons but he made sure not to sell them to people who just thought of his art as money. He also tried to hide his masterpiece somewhere, a portrait called "Lady of the Camellias."
Riki tells the MC that all the black foxes' great-grandfathers were best friends with the MC's gramps and that he left the great-grandfathers his will which said he wanted MC to have Lady of the Camellias. However, after leaving his will he died suddenly without telling anyone where he hid the portrait and all the black foxes know is that they need the MC's fingerprints. However, gramps did tell them that if they collected "the three paintings", they will solve the mystery of the Lady of the Camellias. The three paintings they need (as guessed by MC and confirmed by Riki) are "Cherry Blossom", "Lily of the Valley" and "Flowering Dogwood" which were all stolen by different people.
Unfortunately their conversation gets interrupted by MC's creepy work colleague (I'll introduce him some other time) and after he leaves, Riki leaves you some advice:
You heard it from Riki first guys, beware the kuuderes.
^ And that's Riki's philosophy. Okay not really. But Riki was saying how MC doesn't have to be so serious and should just "go out" with someone, let them treat her to a meal and then just ditch them. Of course MC say she can't and won't do that. And of course Riki calls her a prude again ==
And we have the return of MC's funny sleeping habits! :D Though somehow I don't think Riki's telling the exact truth.
Riki's sneer annoys me. Argh I'm going to have to cut it to 2 chapters per post instead of 4 because I type way too much == Also everything I said is not 100% accurate because this was some time ago and my memory is so bad so if you ever play it and realise I'm wrong about some things don't kill me :(
