back to pre-school

Wow I just realised I haven't talked to anyone online for the last 5 days since my chatlog folder is empty for this month except for the conversation I had just then. I want to clear something up first though. Sometimes I refer to uni as school and my sister always tell me off and goes "why do you call it school? Geez uni is not school." I hope the rest of you out there aren't like that because uni IS school.
Thankfully someone else has experienced my frustration and since she thinks exactly like I do, I'll let her do the explaining:
^ That's my argument exactly. Luckily we both call it school sometimes and she's also had to deal with someone doing the whole "uni isn't school" thing. Yay someone that understands! School is an institution for learning and that's exactly what uni is! Get over it sis ==
Ended up writing quite a bit today and it hurts because when you bend your finger to write, the bandaid digs into your finger and when I took it off (my finger is still gross and it's quite red at the injured part) two hours ago I had this deep red mark around my finger from where the bandaid dug into the skin. In fact that mark is still there now.
You know I realised my timetable is quite good despite what people say about it. I'm obviously never going to have nice short 10 hour weeks like you law or art students but mine is pretty consistent. 9am everyday which I don't mind since it's the time I used to wake up for high school, two 2pm finishes, one 5pm and one 4pm which is okay I guess. Two 2 hour breaks (different days) which is good for doing stuff, and two one hour breaks on another day. Friday is good if there's no farm, late start and only 2-3 hours of class. Yeah it probably sounds bad but it could be a lot worse. I remember someone had four 8am starts, and some have a 4 hour break which is gross and wayyy too much time. I think I'll appreciate what I have.
Though I did try to move the two one hour breaks into a two hour break but instead it ended up screwing my whole timetable and gave me a 6pm finish somewhere so I was like "wow I just want to move one thing and you screw up my whole timetable? Forgot it man ceebs" x_x
Today we went to pick up our family friend's daughter from pre-school since they were running late. Her name is Ruby and she's seriously so cute and adorable :D She always says hi when she comes over and bye when she leaves which sounds like nothing but it's just too cute. Plus her wave is cute too.
Here's a picture of her and her little brother Zachary (though we just call him Zachy) when they came over last month or something.
We were sitting in the kitchen since our visitors were being really noisy in the living room @_@ I cut out my sister since she requested to not be in the shot. They're so cute, they saw my sister playing on the laptop and they pulled up chairs to watch what she was doing.
I then asked Ruby to smile for the camera and then she gave me this face:
I complained and said "come on Ruby! Why didn't you smile for me?"
And then Zachy gave me this. Lol these kids are funny. In this shot my sister was doing a o.O face at Zachy. We don't like Zachy as much lol. He never says hi when he comes over and he's not much fun :( Yeah it's mean to have a favourite kid but whatever, he has to work for it if he wants us to like him more!
Ruby goes to the pre-school I used to go to so I got to visit again! I haven't been back since year 2 or something. God I really loved it there because back then my teachers called me an "angel" and my sister a "bossy boot." I still remember this because they said that to my parents and I was so happy because my parents always said the opposite and that sucked ==
And they still remember my sister and I because sometimes when my dad has to pick up Ruby in situations like today, they tell him to bring us over to visit. The "principal" (sorry I don't know what to call him) actually recognised me as me! What I mean is, when we go back to China, some of my relatives upon first seeing us call out my name when looking at my sister == And we visit every 2-3 years or so and yet they still do this == They're always like "she's the older one right?" -points to my (younger) sister- She's only slightly taller so I don't get it at all.
But yes, just goes to show that my pre-school teacher can recognise me and my relatives can't! That's sad. The place seems different, a lot of things I don't remember though I remembered the weird ladybug card holder thing that sits on the "principal's" desk which is strange haha. I have a lot of memories there and I'm glad they still remember me and according to him (he told me this today) I was the first child to enrol there which I had no idea about because my parents never told me. Though when I ask them now they say they don't remember. I think he must've meant "one of the first" to enrol since I can't have been the very first since on my first day there were other kids there too.
One of my memories of being in his office was showing him I knew how to use the dictionary. I remembered looking up the word "apple" for him to prove it lol. My mum says I once watched him using the computer and I kept saying "click file!" over and over again because I was trying to tell him to save his document. How on earth did I know how computers worked at 3? xD And yet kids these days (like Ruby who's about 3) can play games on ipads and whatever it's kind of scary o_o
On the way home I asked Ruby if she had a good day and she said yes so I asked her if she had any friends and she said yes. I asked "what are their names?" and she answered "Ruby." Haha so does that mean she has no friends? Just joking xD
