The story of yesterday (bondi)
written on Thursday, April 4, 2013 @ 11:56 PM ✈

Or it would have been if my internet didn't die which it keeps doing these days == I typed this up yesterday as a summary of Tuesday but then it wouldn't let me publish == So I'll publish it today, but it's for Tuesday 2nd. Pictures will be attached later cause phone is being stupid so stay tuned please~

So today was the day Shirley and I went allllll the way to Bondi to use our groupon for Movenpick. Their ice-cream is sooo good but of course it's expensive and the groupon was just too good :O When I first saw it, I was like "omg I totally want to go eat this" but when I saw that it was for the Bondi one I was like aww it's too far. Then like two weeks after I saw it, I found Shirley in scitech library and just told her about it and she was totally up for going so we bought it that night (it was the last day it was up on offer too lol).

So that's the background story! Everyone else in our group was too busy that day but Ching was able to join us ^^ We were supposed to meet at the station but when I got there I was like which side should I exit from @_@ That's the usual for me who's a total noob when it comes to new (and even old) places. But luckily Shirley came up from her platform at the same time so yay I wasn't going to get lost.

Ching was half an hour late so that gave Shirley and I some time to wander around. Shirley saw a onesies shop and got totally excited lol We eventually made our way to Westfield and Shirley once again became really happy and excited because it had a lot of the stores that she liked haha. Anyway Ching eventually arrived and off we went on a bus to the beach. It was scary because on the bus there was this old man who suddenly grabbed my arm (and he was holding onto it for a considerable amount of time) and muttered something as he got off the bus o_o

Anyway we got off and admired the beach for a bit which was oddly uncrowded with people but then again it was a "school day" so maybe that's why. I'm just used to seeing bondi beach in pictures or on TV and there's always heaps and heaps of people. Quote Ching: "Wow you can actually SEE the sand. Normally isn't there so many people that that's all you can see?" Now that I've think about it, I've never actually been to bondi beach because my parents never took me there (we always went to some other beach) and I think that was the case for Shirley too.

So Ching and Shirley didn't have breakfast and so they were suuuper hungry so before we could go get our ice-cream they insisted that we had to have lunch first. And I was all like whyyyyyyy T_T because I was looking forward to ice-cream plus I had no intention of eating lunch as I was still super full from my late breakfast of banana pancakes (darn those things are filling).

Being the indecisive people that we are, Shirley just told Ching to pick a place to eat at while we were walking and looking for Movenpick. After quite a bit of time, she decided on just eating at the Bavarian Bier Cafe and we noticed that there was a "Tuesday schnitzel challenge" (and it just so happened to be Tuesday) where if you finish your schnitzel and fries you get a schnapp. I thought it was a chicken schnitzel but looking back at the picture it says it's pork and it's 300g o.O (Picture will come later sorry)

So yup, I was going to be super bored sitting around waiting for them to have their lunch so I was totally egging them on to do the challenge though I think they were going to do it anyway xD They ordered it and we had a very "interesting" lunch listening to Ching talk about her time at camp (sorry I forgot what the camp's name was) and all I can say is that law kids sure party hard. Shirley please tell me what goes on at your camp next week, I'll be interested to know every detail haha ;D

In the end, Shirley was able to "finish" (cough cough) hers because every time the waitresses weren't around, her chips would kind of magically disappear... Though she did legitimately finish her schnitzel, so congratulations! xD Ching however, wasn't able to finish hers because of her story telling and plus she seemed to be eating all the skin of her schnitzel but not the inner part xD Also her chips just kept "increasing" if you know what I mean (cough cough).

Anyway the waitress came over and asked what both of them wanted (in terms of schnapps flavour) and we were all like "what but Ching didn't finish the challenge o_o" but the lady said it was okay anyway. I guess they just want to be nice :D But then this is where it gets sad because she asked them for ID and of course they're both underaged so guess who ends up having to drink their schnapps T_T

Arghhh it was embarrassing because when the waitress came back with it, she had some sort of bell which I think is supposed to be like "congratulations on finishing the challenge" but then of course she's giving the schnapps to me so it makes it look like I'm the one who finished the challenge! And two of them, nonetheless! Argh that was embarrassing T_T

On top of that I drank it like a noob while everyone around was watching (this is what happens when there's a bell).
Me to Ching: Do I have to drink this in one go?
Ching: The taste isn't as bad that way.
Me: Okay... -sighs and drinks it in one go-

One was peach and one was apple and they both had a pretty nice smell and the taste was alright until the very end where it tastes like cherry medicine x_x Goodness knows what the cherry one tastes like. I think I had the peach one first and Shirley and Ching tried some of the apple though if anyone was watching I'd be in trouble right D; So that was my first time "drinking" not including the times when you're a kid and you try like the smallest sip of wine or whatever your parents are drinking.

And now for the best part! When we went to Movenpick! There isn't really much to say, it was delicious of course. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking though of course they aren't good because I just used my phone (too lazy to bring my camera these days). We also had a milkshake afterwards because it was part of the groupon :D It was hard to pick a flavour for that because even though flavours such as creme brulee are awesome as ice-cream, it isn't necessarily good in a milkshake. So it's probably best to go with a "classic" flavour like chocolate or strawberry but that's too mainstream according to Shirley (oh goodness her standards, jokes xD).

~pictures coming soon~

After that we went back to the station and to the gelato place Shirley and I saw when we first got out of the station (this was back when we were waiting for Ching). In the morning I didn't think Shirley would try it out with me because I thought she'd say that we were having too much ice-cream that day but she was like "no! I LOVE my ice-cream, like REALLY REALLY LOVE" which is exactly like my relationship with ice-cream so I'm glad someone else is like that xD

So yup we had it and err the flavour was weird, to say the least x_x And basically after that we went home! That's it~

Oh I forgot to mention that by the time we got to Movenpick my ears were burning up and my face was pretty red orz That's pretty sad because it was "just" two schnapps. Ahhh I'm worse than Sean who became really red at schoolies from 3 standards (and he also passed out too and everyone was taking photos haha).
