differences

Wow I'm losing it. Crashing at 10 even though there's so much more I want to do. Where did the old me go who could easily stay up until 3? I want more hours in my day T_T

On another note, reading excess walls of text in katakana makes me cry. I know I'm not the only one because I've read many other people saying the same thing. Why is this a thing anyway? Why is katakana so harsh on the eyes T_T Actually it's not even harsh but I find it more annoying to read. I don't know how to explain it...

Katakana (for foreign words): カタカナ
Hiragana (normal script): これはひらがなです

The difference...

Things that entertain me:
When reading travel books to Japan there's always a lengthy section on drinking and I'm like "excuse me, I'm not even of legal drinking age kthxbai" ( ̄ー ̄) Because Japan's legal drinking age is 20! I don't even care because it's not like I drink but if their drinking age was 18 then I guess I would try just one.

Also in every book I encountered the whole "there's no need to tip in Japan, and actually it's considered quite rude" and I just go LOLOLOL. That makes perfect sense to me since we don't do it here but I guess the book is targeted towards Americans. And there's sometimes an extra sentence saying "but you may pay extra service charges, consider that your tip!" And I'm like ( ̄□ ̄;)great this is like GST all over again.
