omg compared to yesterday's nightmare of a class, today's year 4 class WAS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM. The kids were so nice and made an appropriate amount of noise, they weren't unruly but there wasn't any of that gross awkward silence kind of atmosphere. Year 7 was more noisy but wow I'm a bit out of practice when it comes to multiplying and dividing by hand (since those were the days before calculator use in school) but I was apparently still doing quite well since the kids were like "what!! how do you do it so fast!!"
But then in my next class which was year 6 I made a fool of myself multiplying one question wrongly on the board and dividing another incorrectly oh god... I bet the kids were like "who is this loser" OTL And the atmosphere in that classroom is so stifling it's just weirdly quiet and no one really says anything omg. Today's year 5's were so much nicer than yesterday's though!
Ah man the difference in years as summed up by yours truly:
Year 4 - best class ever! Kids are quiet but it's not silent and they seem to have fun with me ^^
Year 5 - Friday class is unruly as but Saturday class is nice, though they can get a little over excited
Year 6 - dead silent it's scary (ಠ_ಠ) But they opened up a bit when I asked them what high school they'd like to go to and no one wants to go to ruse hahaha
Year 7 - quite noisy at times and kept saying things like "miss, normally we would be up to theory by now!" then I tell them we're only behind because I have to waste my time trying to get them to quieten down wwww They also like to think they know everything lol
Year 8/9 class - Since it's a small group it's quite fun especially when I get to help them with their questions for homework. They like to have interesting discussions that are off topic haha
Well I figured out why I'm always the one who has to talk to the boss afterwards but no one else. It's because they leave before he can call out to them but he always manages to stop me lol. But even if I don't stay to talk to him (in case he wanted to tell me something) I'm not sure whether to just leave or not? Because what if he does want to tell me something T_T
Also I don't know why the kids think I play games?? Someone asked me if I played LOL (as in league of legends > >) and another kid asked me if I played GTA. Sorry guys not my thing!
Hehe watching asian variety shows are funny. The one I just watched had a game where you stand across from somewhere and you both put your hand on the other person's forehead and try to get the other person to "fall" or lose balance. And another one was misleadingly called "chicken fight" so I thought it was where you hold your leg and hop around trying to push people over but it was just that you had to copy this audio of a chicken's call and it was hilarious.
