Speeches suck (and so do I)
written on Thursday, March 17, 2016 @ 11:37 PM ✈

I was wrong, it wasn't 20 students but 24.

20 students x 15 min presentations each = 6 long hours

The day was 8:55 to 4:30.

If anyone has ever had a single class with me, you'd know how much I hate speeches (the word hate doesn't even come close to covering it).

I was shocked because basically every single person did their speeches without palm cards or paper (except like a couple of people). But up until now my cohort has been notorious for blatantly reading off cards or even whole sheets of paper.

And I had palm cards... I always do dumb things in speeches and this time? For some reason I just stopped using it beyond the first card. Why. WHY. WHY!!!!!

Why is my brain so stupid. It turned my okay speech (though probs lose some marks for using cards) into something super basic and lame. Wording was gross. Spoke fast as usual. Screwed up some sentences. Also forgot some important points.

Definitely worst mark.

Usually finishing speeches = relief no matter how bad it was. Nope, this time it's regret.

At least people went woahh when I mentioned I'd have to code to run my stats programs. But still.

Ugh.
